Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information OnePDF ("we", "us") collects when you visit onepdftoolkit.com (the "Site") and use its tools, and how that information is used.

1. The core principle: your files stay with you

OnePDF's PDF and image tools — merge, split, compress, rotate, extract images, and images-to-PDF — run entirely as JavaScript in your browser using the pdf-lib, PDF.js, and JSZip libraries. When you select or drop a file into a tool, it is read directly into your browser's memory and processed there. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or has access to the contents of files you process on this Site.

2. Information we do collect

2.1 Usage and log data

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may automatically collect standard technical information when you visit, such as approximate location (city/region level), browser type, device type, referring page, and pages visited. This is used in aggregate to understand site usage and is not linked to the contents of any file you process.

2.2 Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (property ID G-K48GXPFT2C), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as pages visited, time on page, browser type, device category, and approximate geographic region. The data collected is aggregated and used to improve the Site; it is not linked to the contents of any file you process.

Google Analytics may set the following cookies on your browser: _ga (used to distinguish visitors, expires after 2 years), a cookie whose name begins with _ga_ and ends with your property's container ID (used to persist session state, expires after 2 years), and in some cases _gid (used to distinguish visitors, expires after 24 hours). You can learn more about how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can opt out of Google Analytics in several ways:

2.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies for core site functionality (such as remembering that you've dismissed the cookie notice) and for the analytics described in Section 2.2. If advertising is enabled on the Site, our advertising partners (see Section 4) may also set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to measure ad performance and, where permitted, personalize ads.

2.4 Information you provide directly

If you use the Contact form or email us, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address, and message. We use this only to respond to you and do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Information we do not collect

  • The contents of any PDF or image file you merge, split, compress, rotate, extract images from, or convert.
  • File names or metadata from those documents, beyond what may briefly exist in your own browser's memory during processing.
  • Account information — the Site does not require or offer account creation.

4. Advertising

OnePDF may display advertising served by third-party providers such as Google AdSense in order to keep the tools free to use. These providers may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your visit to this and other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or via industry tools like the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page.

5. Third-party libraries and content-delivery networks

To run the tools, this Site loads open-source JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, JSZip) and web fonts from third-party content delivery networks. Loading these resources may expose your IP address and browser information to those CDN providers in the ordinary course of serving the files, in the same way as any website that uses external scripts or fonts.

6. Data retention

We do not retain file contents because we never receive them. Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your inquiry, and technical/usage log data is retained for a limited period consistent with standard hosting and analytics practices.

7. Children's privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your choices

  • You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising using the links in Section 4.
  • You can contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you (limited, per Section 3, to things like contact-form messages).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.

10. Contact us
